How long does installation take?
Typically 3–7 working days after your application is approved, depending on the provider and appointment slots in your area. We follow up on your behalf so it moves as fast as possible.
How do I know which provider covers my home?
Just WhatsApp us your full address. We check UniFi, Maxis, TIME and CelcomDigi coverage for you and reply with what's actually available at your unit.
Is it really free to use FibreBuddies?
Yes! Our advice and application service is 100% free for you. We earn a commission from the provider when you sign up — you pay the same price (or better, with promos) as going direct.
Can I switch from my current provider?
Absolutely. We'll check your current contract end date, help you avoid early-termination penalties where possible, and time the new installation so you're never without internet.
What speed do I actually need?
For 1–3 people browsing and streaming, 100–300Mbps is plenty. Heavy streaming, gaming or working from home? Go 500Mbps. Large family or landed home with many devices — 1Gbps with mesh Wi-Fi is worth it.
Do I need to buy my own router?
Usually no — most plans include a free Wi-Fi router, and higher-tier plans often include mesh systems. We'll tell you if your home layout needs anything extra before you commit.
What documents do I need to sign up?
Just your MyKad (IC) copy or passport for foreigners. For some condos, the management may need to grant access for installation — we'll guide you through it.
How do I pay my monthly bill?
You pay the provider directly (not us) — via their app, online banking, auto-debit or credit card. We'll help you get the app set up after installation.
